Netflix began testing its video game platform in the US

The streaming platform already has selected users in charge of testing its new platform

Netflix announced that selected users in the United States can now test its new video game streaming platform for televisions and PCs with compatible browsers, an option that until now was only available to some testers in the United Kingdom and Canada.

The company proposed the creation of a cloud game streaming platform in August 2022, something that was known through an announcement on its official LinkedIn profile, where different job vacancies related to this new product were available.

It was in August of this year when Netflix began testing this technology for Windows and Mac televisions and computers in Canada and the United Kingdom, with the beta version of the games Oxenfree and Molehew’s Mining Adventure.

Then, the company commented on its blog that this was the first step it had taken for players to test the experience, with a limited beta version for a small number of users in those countries.

This new platform option was announced a week after the launch of the Netflix App Controller application for iPhone and iPad users, which works as a video game controller and can be used to play from a television with a Netflix account logged in. .

The company has now updated its blog post to announce that it has begun rolling out this limited beta test for users in the United States. With this, he has announced that he hopes to hear the comments of these testers and share more information about this streaming platform as it progresses in its development.
