Venezuelan workers savings in petro could be convertible into currencies

The Venezuelan government announced that these savings quoted in Petro can be converted into currencies

Nicolás Maduro announced that Petro will be converted into convertible currencies for the benefit of the 3 million people who have protected part of their assets in the Venezuelan cryptocurrency so they be able to acquire products in any international company.

The head of state explained that the negotiations will be carried out through the National Superintendence of Cryptoactives (Sunacrip), the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV), and the Vice Presidency of the Economy who will be responsible for activating the mechanisms to convert the cryptocurrency of the Caribbean country “in petros convertible into currencies, so that they can buy at any company and exchange it other currencies”.

During the discussion of the engines of the Bolivarian Economic Agenda Maduro said: “This is the first test we are going to do to place the petro in convertible currencies, the international petro in the hands of the people and we will start with savers. It is a prize because they have showed confidence in the petro. Trust with prize is paid.”
