Two brazilian clubs will pay salaries in cryptocurrencies

The Athletic Club Paranaense and the Corinthians announced the agreement with Innovi LTD for the use of the IVI token

In an attempt to include cryptocurrencies in the sports business, Club Atlético Paranaense and Corinthians announced that they will start paying their employees’ salaries through virtual currencies.

This will be possible thanks to an association made by the French startup Innovi LTD, which will help facilitate the payment to athletes.

The proposal was presented at a press conference, where personalities such as the CEO of Innovi, Mario Celso Petraglia and Marcelo Amorretty, lawyer of the initiative were present.

Innovi LTD is a blockchain company that links cryptocurrencies with sports through the “IVI” token, a virtual currency specialized in investments.

The Paranaense will be committed to the company for the next 12 months, where they must use and promote this virtual asset.

Thanks to this partnership, both clubs will receive financial incentives. According to the president of the team, the use of this profits will benefit the promotion campaign that is being developed.

Corinthians and Paranaense are not the only clubs that have dabbled in this aspect. The Cruzeiro of Brazil also recently joined this with the creation of its own cryptocurrency.
