Trump requires GM to comply with fan manufacturing

The US president assured that General Motors, which had promised to manufacture 40,000 parts to support the coronavirus and donate them, would have reduced the figure to 6,000

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, criticized the president and CEO of the automobile company General Motors, Mary Barra, after the firm promised to donate 40,000 fans to help in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic and, according to him, GM has reduced that figure to 6,000 units.

“As usual with General Motors, things never seem to work. They said they were going to give us 40,000 much-needed fans, very quickly. Now they claim there will only be 6,000 by the end of April and they want a strong dollar. Always a disaster with Mary B”, highlighted the president on Twitter.

Following this, in another tweet, the president ordered General Motors to “immediately” reopen its Ohio plant, or some other of its facilities for the production of fans.

“General Motors must immediately open its stupidly abandoned plant in Lordstown, Ohio, or some other factory, and start making fans, now. Ford, give way to fans, quickly,” wrote Donald Trump on the social network.
