The petro may be taken to other cryptocurrencies

It was announced by Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro at a press conference held from the headquarters of the National Superintendence of Cryptoactives and Related Activities (Sunacrip), in Caracas

The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced on November 6th that people who save in petros and have their savings certificate until December 31st, may convert their savings in other cryptocurrencies or convertible currencies.

“All those who invest in the petros savings certificate from this date, November 6th, until December 31st, will have the possibility to freely convert the petro they buy into international cryptocurrency or any other convertible currency in the world”, said the national president from the headquarters of the National Superintendence of Cryptoactives and Related Activities (Sunacrip in Spanish), in Caracas.

On the other hand, Maduro said that the savings in petros, as well as in gold, will strengthen the Venezuelan family in the future, and will allow the State to invest to continue consolidating the social rights of Venezuelans.

He also stressed that Venezuela is the only country in the world that has a digital currency such as petro, which will allow, according to his opinion, to move towards a new economy.

The Venezuelan president called on all those who have not yet joined the purchase of the petro to do so, so they can count on a free savings method.
