In a statement, Dynamic Yield by Mastercard, Mastercard’s leading AI and digital personalization subsidiary, officially unveiled its latest innovation: the generative AI chatbot assistant, Shopping Muse, designed for the e-commerce space.
The revelation of this AI system was accompanied by a detailed publication on the company’s blog. According to Dynamic Yield, Shopping Muse represents “an advanced generative AI tool that transforms the way consumers explore and discover products within a retailer’s digital catalog.”
Generative AI systems, such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT and DALL-E, aim to interpret users’ colloquial commands to generate text, video, audio, or even computer code.
In the specific case of Shopping Muse, users can make plain language requests within the context of an online marketplace, and the AI system will generate personalized recommendations using what Dynamic Yield calls “algorithmic content matching.”
