Lufthansa looks for ideas related to blockchain

The airline partnered with SAP to look for projects that improve commercial aviation

This Monday, the Lufthansa airline and the SAP software developer came together to come up with ideas based on blockchain, which can help improve the commercial aviation sector.

For this, a call was made to the “Aviation Blockchain Challenge“, a contest with which they seek to draw attention to the potential of blockchain in the industry and discover projects aimed at improving processes in different areas.

The company SAP assured through a statement that this call is based on the principle that the blokchain technology “has the capacity to transform processes and value chains“. This was stated by Gleb Tritus, CEO of Lufthansa Innovation Hub.

“The impact of blockchain in the aviation sector is not yet noticeable, we want to change that together with SAP and see a substantial potential in our industry to use blockchain and other decentralized network systems,” Tritus explained.

According to the chronogram published on the website about the competition, it is indicated that the interested teams will have until August 31 to submmit their ideas. The selected projects will go through a mentoring phase with experts from SAP and Lufthansa.
