LinkedIn will remove its “Stories” feature

The professional social network announced that it will stop showing this type of content at the end of September

The professional social network LinkedIn will eliminate at the end of September the “Stories” or ephemeral content, and whose functions will reach the videos of the platform in the future.

LinkedIn had introduced Stories in the past year, with a short-lived video format similar to Instagram Stories intended for informal updates.

However, platform users prefer that the videos do not disappear but remain saved in their accounts, as the platform’s Product Director, Liz Li, recognized in her LinkedIn profile.

Likewise, LinkedIn users stated that they wanted more creative options to improve the results of their videos, in addition to the ‘stickers’ and the ‘question of the day‘ function that were present in the Stories.

For this reason, the platform has announced that it is working on developing an “even richer and more conversational reinvented video experience”, extending the creative tools of Stories to the entire platform and integrating them with your professional profile.
