Authorities abandon AI’s anti-corruption system for its extreme efficiency

The Zero Trust tool has found at least some 8,721 government employees involved in misconduct

The artificial intelligence-based program aimed at policing the Chinese authorities, Zero Trust was abandoned for its “extreme efficiency”.

This was indicated by the South China Morning Post, where they detailed that the tool created in conjunction with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the internal control institutions of the Communist Party has the ability to monitor and analyze the work and personal life of public officials.

The Zero Trust tool can also detect property transfers, infrastructure construction, store acquisition, among others.

When the system detects that an operation may be suspicious, the software analyzes the chances of the action becoming corrupt or not.

The anti-corruption program has identified 8,721 government employees involved in misconduct such as embezzlement, abuse of power, misuse of government funds and nepotism. While some were sentenced to prison terms, most were allowed to keep their jobs after receiving a warning or minor punishment.
