Facebook's cryptocurrency will finally go public for user use and enjoyment next year
Finally, Facebook’s cryptocurrency, Libra, will go public next January for the use of the public.
After more than a year of work, the digital asset of the social network will finally be a reality. Initially Libra would arrive as a stablecoin backed by the dollar.
The digital asset must still await regulatory approval from the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority, FINMA.
Everything indicates that the currency will be accepted as a payment service in the coming weeks, but the status of this procedure is unknown.
For several months, Libra disappeared from the media spotlight to strengthen itself by obtaining new partners and adapting to the different regulatory currents. Thanks to this work by Facebook, the coin is just days away from becoming a reality.
