The official website of the White House was the one who published this information on the roadmap that is followed based on the recommendation of various government agencies.
The US government indicates that bitcoin represents a potential opportunity to “strengthen the leadership of that country in the global financial system“. However, there are latent risks regarding cryptocurrencies in general.
The first point of the proposal focuses on the protection of consumers and investors. The call upon the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to take more “aggressive” enforcement action against illegal practices in the digital asset field.
