LG and Meta join forces to develop extended reality projects with the focus on a better user experience

LG and Meta corporations have signed a strategic alliance to offer a better user experience through the development of new extended reality (XR) projects.

Both technology companies will work “combining the technology, services and platforms of both companies to continue improving the customer experience in the virtual space and develop the next generation of XR devices.”

The partnership is a reality after the meeting between Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, and his LG counterpart, William Cho, the President of Home Entertainment Company, Park Hyoung-sei.

LG would be interested in key Meta products such as the “Meta Quest 3 headphones, the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses and other advanced technologies, such as its large language models (LLM) and its potential for the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the devices.”

LG seeks to become a smart life solutions company by 2030. Hence, the effort to work together with Meta, as the best way to make way for the development of the extended reality (XR) market.
