Hybrid work will be the norm in Spain in 2023

The Covid-19 pandemic came to accelerate a process of change in the workplace that was already being implemented, to reach the hybrid modality in the market

In 2023, the hybrid work modality will be at least 85 % in Spain. This conclusion emerges from a study carried out by Logitech, Microsoft and IDG Research, which analyzed key elements for the digitalization process of companies.

According to the study, among the benefits to workers of a hybrid model; that is, face-to-face combined with remote work, there is flexibility of schedules, reduction of operating costs, greater employee satisfaction. This means that the performance preference is oriented towards this model.

Currently, 64 % of Spanish corporations operate with a hybrid model. Working from home or another available location is combined with pre-negotiated hours of office attendance, which may be three or two days a week.

The study by Logitech, Microsoft and IDG Research foresees a consolidation by 2023 of the hybrid model, reaching 85% of Spanish organizations. And it is that society changed rapidly when the quarantine was implemented by Covod-19. New needs have emerged, working conditions changed, and the workforce became aware of the possibility of adapting to change thanks to new technologies.

The report shows that this work model will be – more than a trend – a condition for competitiveness in the increasingly digitized market, where the resolution of a problem does not depend on whether the worker is physically in an office or in another place. Efficiency and responsiveness are now measured remotely.
