Huawei opens a robot-oriented store in Wuhan

Customers have access to store products from a touch screen and their purchase is similar to those made online

The renowned Chinese high-tech multinational company, Huawei, has implemented a Wuhan-based store with a peculiar dynamic of work. It is about robots responsible for serving customers who wish to buy from mobile phones to wireless headphones, smart wristbands, smartwaches, among others .

Customer purchases are similar to those that can be made online from a computer or mobile device. The buyer enters a cabin and they have access to all the products of the store, although the selection can only be to products of small size because the rotating robotic arm that selects the product for the purchase supports light loads.

After the client selects a product, the robot searches for it in the compartments around it and extracts it with small cups that it has on its arm.

Huawei owners said the initiative is considered a pilot test to continue stimulating this concept of sales in more points throughout their home country and say that depending on its success it could extend in other countries.

The store offers its services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is located in the Optics Valley New Development International Center in the Asian country.
