Google resumes cryptocurrency ads

The technology giant incorporated since the beginning of August those notices that include information on digital assets

After a change in its policies, Google returned to incorporate cryptocurrency ads within its platform since August 3.

In June 2018, the tech giant had banned ads related to digital assets and Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs). Now, even though the new policy includes cryptocurrency advertisers, those who work under the ICO system have been left out.

The cryptocurrency ad policy review was first outlined in June this year and stipulates that “advertisers offering cryptocurrency exchanges and wallets” targeting US consumers can advertise their services and products if they meet specific requirements.

The move will provide additional sales to Google’s parent company Alphabet, although cryptocurrency ads will likely be just a drop in the ocean of the company’s $ 147 billion in ad revenues.
