Google Dataset Search is officially operational

Among the new features of the version is the possibility of filtering the results based on the type of content desired

The giant’s dataset search tool, Dataset Search, is now officially operational after completing its Beta period. An innovative tool that Google launches to meet the needs of users on the network.

The company representatives said that the results indexed in the search engine come from any website that has followed Google’s guidelines when tagging and structuring their data sets.

Among the new features of the version is the possibility of filtering the results based on the type of content desired (tables, images, text) or if it is possible to access the dataset for free.

Unlike the classic Google search, Dataset Search offers a set of data that shows a series of labels that allow a quick view of the content available in each case. These include date range, source, description, area covered and last update date.

Google says that despite having left beta mode, they will continue to work on improving the system.
