Bill Harris says the bitcoin is “useless”

The former CEO of PayPal issued these statements during his participation in the Fast Money program of the CNBC

The founder CEO of PayPal, Bill Harris, recently issued strong statements against bitcoin, claiming that the cryptocurrency “has no value”.

These comments were made during his participation in CNBC’s Fast Money program, where he also indicated that eventually the cryptocurrency will begin to lose more and more value.

“I do not think it will go directly to zero, but eventually, it will come very close to zero, mainly because there is simply no value there,” said the former CEO of PayPal.

On the other hand, Harris indicated that currently “there are digital currencies, and we have digital currencies that are more stable, widely accepted and with intrinsic value. I do not see any reason why bitcoin would be useful. Its inherent volatility makes it useless as a mechanism payment and ridiculous to keep it for its value.”

The former PayPal representative ended his interview arguing that bitcoin has no other use than explicitly “for criminal activities.
