The president of the United States spoke about the invasion against Ukraine and decided to apply sanctions against Russia

Joe Biden, President of the United States announced a series of sanctions against Russia after it initiated military action against Ukraine.

“We will limit Russia’s ability to do business in dollars and pounds and to be part of the world economy. Putin chose this war and now he and his country will suffer the consequences,” the president said.

Biden added that these actions are also being supported by the 27 members of the European Union and the group of countries that make up the G7.

“This is a dangerous moment for Europe and for the freedom of the whole world. Putin’s aggression will have an economic and strategic cost,” said Biden.

The president spoke about the rest of the measures that will be applied, where he pointed out that they are going to limit the capacity of their army. “We will impose barriers so that they cannot compete in the technological life of the 21st century. Today the ruble has sunk. We have cut off access to the largest bank in Russia, which has a huge amount of banking assets. We have blocked four banks.”
