TikTok creates a function to apply for jobs

TikTok Resumes is a program that allows users of the social network to send the curriculum through a video in the US market

The social network TikTok launched a program called “TikTok Resumes, which will allow people to apply for a job through a short video where they can explain their knowledge and skills in an original way.

Global Network Marketing Director, Nick Tran, reported in a statement: “TikTok Resumes is officially up and running and TikTok video acceptance resumes.” The program began operations last Wednesday with a pilot that will only be available in the US market and its duration is estimated until July 31 of this year.

Nick Tran said he was “honored to partner with some of the world’s most admired and emerging brands as we test a new way for job seekers to creatively and authentically display their experiences and skills.”

He also indicated that recruiters can advertise their job offers in a space dedicated especially for that and TikTokers can apply by submitting a video and adding the hashtag #TikTokResumes, forgetting about sending the resume as it is done in the traditional way.

For the global director of the social network, Nick Tran: “CareerTok is already a thriving subculture on the platform” so “we can’t wait to see how the community accepts TikTok CVs.” Additionally, the program allows reinvestment in the recruitment phase that all organizations have, in addition to encouraging the discovery of jobs or job positions for users of the social network.

Organizations such as Chipotle, Abercrombie & Fitch, Shopify, Target stores and the World Wrestling Entertainment group are using the program to recruit young people under 25 years of age into their companies.
