The NSA works on the development of a cryptocurrency

The United States National Security Agency could be working on the development of a digital quantum resistance asset

The United States National Security Agency (NSA) is presumably working on the development of a cryptocurrency of quantum resistance.

Through a tweet, Bloomberg reporter William Turton said from the 10th annual Billington CyberSecurity summit in Washington D.C that the agency is working on that.

“Anne Neuberger, director of the new NSA Cybersecurity Directorate, says the agency will again propose hardware and software standards. It also indicates that the agency is working to build a quantum resistance crypto,” said Turton.

On the other hand, Microsoft News said in a report that this idea is focused on the battle of the agency to face the threats of rescue software posed by geopolitical adversaries such as North Korea, Iran, Russia and China.

Neuberger also indicated that the NSA has so far identified at least 4,000 daily rescue software attacks, underlying that this prevalence was a “key concern” for the 2020 US presidential election.
