The WhatsApp messaging application is currently working on a new function with which it will allow its users to send images and videos with a higher quality than the current one.
This was filtered in different web portals, which indicated that the function is available in the latest WhatsApp betas for Android mobile devices (2.21.14.6 and 2.21.14.16).
Until now, the images and videos sent through WhatsApp are compressed automatically, so that certain content may lose quality compared to the original file, but thus the delivery is faster.
With the new function, users will be able to choose between three different options in the storage and data settings, on the quality of the videos and photos shared in chats.
The first is the automatic one, the one recommended by the application, while the second allows you to send content with ‘the best quality’ and the last one to activate the ‘data saving’.
