Debt with cryptocurrencies affected a Venezuelan

A 33-year-old computer engineer was found lifeless for allegedly owing thousands of dollars in virtual currency

The Venezuelan police forces confirmed the murder of Gabriel Andrés de Mendonça de Sá, a 33-year-old Venezuelan who allegedly had a debt in cryptocurrencies.

The body without life and without shoes was located in the entrance of a deposit of the municipality El Hatillo, of the city of Caracas.

It all started when the computer engineer went out to work on Sunday morning, presumably he was kidnapped by a group of armed men. The Directorate of Homicide of the CICPC is in charge of the case.

Mendonça de Sá allegedly owed thousands of dollars to an organization linked to cryptocurrency mining in Venezuela.

For now, the authorities are conducting the necessary investigations to find out the reason for the murder.
