Opera launches browser with cryptocurrency portfolio

The Norwegian company developed a beta version that will support the use of ETH, tokens ECR-20 and ERC-721 in the first instance

The Norwegian company Opera Software launched the new version of its browser, which incorporates a portfolio of cryptocurrencies available for use.

The application is currently available in a private beta version, and the company has described it as the first important browser to open a conventional product to Web 3.0.

Through a statement, the company said that the objective of this product is to cut the entry barrier to the Internet of Value (Iov) something that simplifies the process of using electronic currencies.

“We hope that this launch accelerates the transition to cryptocurrencies, from speculation and investment to its use for payments and transactions of daily life for our users,” said Charles Hamel, product manager of Opera Crypto.

This first version only allows ETH, tokens ECR-20 and ERC-721, despite this, the developers intend to add support for other cryptocurrencies in the future.
