Netflix scrapped the first month of free trial

The streaming platform announced that, in compensation, it will offer the second month of subscription at no cost

The video streaming platform Netflix removed the first month of free trial for new users and will now offer the second month of free subscription.

Netflix began eliminating free trials for new subscriptions in March 2019 in several countries, including Spain, Italy, Canada and other Spanish speaking countries.

Now, the platform decided to completely eliminate the trial period for new subscribers and will instead offer the second month free.

From its support page, the company indicates that “free trials are not available, but you can still subscribe and get the most out of all Netflix offers.”

It should be remembered that, at the end of August, Netflix opened part of its catalog for free without the need to register or have a subscription. Users who do not have an account on the platform can watch the first episode of some of Netflix’s best-known series, as well as some movies and documentaries.
