US Secretary of the Treasury promises new requirements for cryptocurrencies

During a United States Senate hearing, the topic of digital assets was addressed through Senator Maggie Hassan

During a hearing of the United States Senate held this week the subject of cryptocurrencies was discussed.

Senator Maggie Hassan addressed this issue through a question. “How will the budget proposed by the Treasury increase in the surveillance of suspicious transactions of cryptocurrencies and the prosecution of terrorists and other criminal organizations that finance illegal activities with cryptocurrencies?”

Faced with this questioning, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said that his team is “about to deploy some significant new requirements in the Financial Crimes Persecution Network (FinCEN).

On the other hand, he assured that he expects technology to continue advancing, however they do not claim that cryptocurrencies in a bad way with Swiss secret numbers.

The future of cryptocurrencies in the United States is promising, military contractors have shown their willingness to support companies that work with this and blockchain technology.
