Neymar and Barcelona FC will finally go to trial

The Brazilian football player and the Catalan team did not reach an agreement so they must go through court for the payment claimed by the Paris Saint Germain player

The lawyers of former Blaugrana player Neymar and those of Barcelona FC will go to trial this Friday after not having reached an agreement on the payment of a part of the renewal bonus that the Brazilian claims to the club but that he refuses to pay for breach of forward contract.

Both parties tried to reach an agreement with a conciliation initiated this Friday morning and that has been suspended between negotiating parties.

At noon this Friday the parties replied that there was no agreement and went to the courtroom, set in the Social Court 15 of Barcelona as a result of the demands presented by both Barça and the Brazilian soccer player.

Neymar arrived in Barcelona on Thursday although he has not gone to the Ciutat de la Justicia, but his lawyers. In the conciliation process, the lawyers of both parties have been gathered in a room of the Ciutat de la Justicia assisted by a Justice Administration Lawyer (LAJ).

The dispute between Neymar and Barça was provoked by a demand of renewal bond, of 26 million euros, which the Brazilian claims to Barcelona FC and that the club refuses to pay for breach of the striker’s contract, given that he signed for the next year with the Paris Saint-Germain after paying the termination clause.
