Adobe shows a profit increase of 19%

The design company generated a total of 792 million dollars in the third quarter of the year which ended in August

The developer of design and editing programs Adobe accounted for a net profit of 792 million dollars in its third fiscal quarter, which ended in August, equivalent to an increase of 19% compared to the same period last year.

The turnover of the firm reached 2,834 million dollars between the months of June and August, up 23.7%. By business segments, revenues from subscriptions rose 26%, while those generated by the sale of products stood at 157 million dollars, equivalent to a 5.4% advance.

“Adobe has recorded another quarter of record revenue“, said the company’s executive vice president and chief financial officer, John Murphy.

With regard to expenses, the costs associated with revenues grew by 28.9%, to 416 million dollars. Within the operating expenses, the sales and marketing sectors reached 812 million dollars, a 21.2% more. While the research and development (R&D) fields grew 22.9%, to 489 million dollars.

In the first nine months of its fiscal year, Adobe recorded a net profit of 2,100 million dollars, 9.8% more, after an increase in revenue of 24.6%, to 8,179 million dollars.
