This Wednesday, Nicolás Maduro announced the creation of 25 ticket offices of the Banco de Venezuela at the national level for the exchange of currencies in bolivars, the national currency. The announcement was made during an official act for the ten years of the nationalization of the bank.

Although he did not offer more details about the order he has just given to the BDV, the president insisted that the measure seeks to provide citizens with more convenience to exchange currency directly through ticket offices, as well as offering a personalized service.

With regard to the advances in the global financial ecosystem, where citizens have multiple transaction options, Maduro said: “This is the new world that we must open the way for, that we can do from Venezuela, and the world is watching us, and others. countries that have taken first steps of currencies supported by gold, in oil “.

The president of Venezuela also announced the creation of ticket offices in the same bank for the processing of transactions in petro – national cryptographic currency – and other cryptocurrencies.

He stressed the need for the National Superintendency of Cryptoactives and Related Activities (Sunacrip) to directly participate in this process to supervise the establishment of ticket offices and the trading of digital currency.

Maduro noted that the BDV is currently in the first place in the national banking system and has experienced a 64% growth in assets.
