Snapchat launches new augmented reality app

Scan is an interesting and wide augmented reality platform to scan what the user is watching

When it was thought that Snapchat did not have much to offer and that it had been displaced by Instagram, the new augmented reality application appeared.

According to data from the firm, they reach more people than Instagram and Facebook in the age range between 13 and 24 years old in markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Canada and Australia.

Now Snapchat will have a small tab below the camera button that will scan what is being viewed and take any action on it.

This will be achieved thanks to the acquisition of a startup called Scan based on the development of augmented reality.

For example, if the user is at an important tourist spot, the monument he is visiting may start to fire or turn into pizza, just to mention some crazy things that may occur.
