French market wants to use blockchain for product tracking

The chain Auchan plans to create an application that allows its customers to know what is the origin of what they want to buy

After the good results obtained in Vietnam, the French supermarket brand Auchan has plans to apply the use of blockchain technology to trace the origin of organic goods.

The way to use it will be as follows, customers can scan a QR code for certain products through a mobile application that will be available for smart equipment.

Buyers will receive detailed information about the origin of the product and the chain responsible for supplies of these items.

It is important to note that the launch in France comes as a result of a testing phase in Vietnam, in what they point out was a coordinated effort with Ho Chi Minh City.

In this previous phase were commercialized about 18 thousand pigs, 200 thousand hens and 2.5 million eggs that were tracked from Vietnam.
