Argentine Ripio startup enters 2018 Fintech 100 ranking
This year, the well-known auditor KPMG recognized the work carried out by the local firm Ripio, oriented to blockchain services, created in 2013 by Sebastián Serrano
Ripio is an Argentine firm focused on digital finance and the crypto universe created in 2013 by Sebastián Serrano. Currently, it is one of the hundred best thanks to the recognition granted by the consultancy KPMG.
The fintech was included in the “2018 Fintech 100” ranking as one of the most innovative worldwide. H2 Ventures was the company in charge of preparing the ranking, in which the only Argentine firm was included.
A key element in this selection is the annual report is RCN, Ripio Credit Network, which consists of a network of global credits from smart contracts launched last year, when the firm was also selected by Interbran, a local global consultancy, as one of the most disruptive brands in the world in the financial services segment.
Sebastián Serrano, CEO and co-founder of Ripio, said: “Since we started Ripio in 2013, our mission was to offer solutions that help solve the problem of financial inclusion in the region. Ripio is made up of a team of people who dedicate their day to reach that goal. This recognition is, in that sense, a great indication that we are on a good path,” he said.
The award-winning has a popular digital wallet (more than 220,000 users) and is available even in Mexico since this year. Recently, they announced the integration of the MTB 18 token in their exchange.
