Joselyn Brea and Marvin Blanco immense in the Gatorade Caracas Rock 10K
The Bancamiga athletes won with times of 33 minutes 41 seconds and 30 minutes 31 seconds, respectively
After the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the streets of Caracas welcomed Joselyn Brea this Sunday, who once again demonstrated the good moment she is going through by winning the 23rd edition of the Gatorade Caracas Rock 10K, which was sponsored by Bancamiga.
The Bancamiga athlete crossed the finish line with a time of 33 minutes 41 seconds, being escorted by her sister Edymar Brea (34.26), also a representative of Bancamiga, who from the moment of departure on the Autopista del Este, became her shadow until the final stretch of the competition, when Joselyn imposed an overwhelming pace to the finish line, at the height of the Alfredo Sadel square in Las Mercedes. Third place went to Falconian Magaly García (35.15).
“I am happy to win this race. I have always said that it is my favorite race. It is the first time I run here after the Olympic Games. I loved seeing so many people supporting me and I hope everyone enjoyed it,” said Brea, a finalist in the 5,000 meters flat in Paris 2024.
Upon crossing the finish line, the Carabobo native was received by her coach and Bancamiga athlete Marvin Blanco, who was in charge of placing her finalist medal on her. The man from Caracas took the top spot on the podium, finishing in 30 minutes 31 seconds. Behind him were Enmanuel Hernández, with 30.34 and Whinton Palma with 30.42.

Both Brea and Blanco received a special award from Bancamiga, presented by the President of the Board of Directors of the institution, José Simón Elarba, who was accompanied during the event by other authorities from the bank.

We are committed to supporting sporting events because they are an effective way to promote a healthy and active lifestyle, which is essential in the current context, especially when it comes to Gatorade Caracas Rock, a race that has already reached 23 years and today brought together 8,000 competitors. In Brea and Blanco, Bancamiga sees two talented young people who are a source of inspiration for the new generations,” said Elarba.
During the route, certified by AIMS (International Association of Marathons and Distance Races), World Athletics and the Venezuelan Athletics Federation, attendees were able to see among the participants the also ambassador of Bancamiga Banco Universal, Amanda Dudamel.
Bancamiga placed a support point at kilometer 7, which included the performances of @Sinzelleband and which also served to encourage the participants. He also offered important support to the pacers who guided hundreds of runners to achieve their goals.
As is tradition, Gatorade Caracas Rock 10K once again became a party for Venezuelan runners, bringing together participants from all states and serving to spread the best possible vibe to the streets of Caracas.
