PDVSA projects one million extra barrels in seven years

Jovany Martínez, executive vice president of the Venezuelan oil company PDVSA, indicated that the production projection is one million extra barrels in seven years, thanks to the commercial alliance with the United States

The Venezuelan oil company PDVSA projects extra production in seven years of one million barrels, as indicated this week by executive vice president, Jovany Martínez.

The goal is inserted within the framework of the commercial and energy alliance with the United States, promoted “by high-performance cases such as Petrozamora.”

Martínez gave details in an interview about the size and projections of the binational agreement, which covers 17 fields in total and has a “global support of 65,000 million barrels in reserves, distributed among more than 50,000 million in virgin land areas and more than 11,000 million in the western region.”

The extraction currently registered by the block assigned to the agreement is 220,000 barrels per day (bpd). The Petrozamora joint venture showed a recovery from 23,000 bpd to exceeding 100,000 bpd, with the goal of reaching 120,000 bpd by the end of December.

The executive referred to the immediate objectives of the Venezuelan oil industry, highlighting that the sector “is advancing steadily to achieve the goal of 1,300,000 barrels per day by December.” He announced that next year Venezuela will be able to break the barrier of one and a half million barrels per day thanks to the agreements.
