Binance confirms massive $6.3 billion hack

The cryptocurrency platform issued a statement announcing the hack on Thursday, October 29, for $6.3 billion, the largest known theft in the sector

The well-known digital asset platform Binance admitted to the $6.3 billion hack. In a statement released on Friday, October 30, it indicated that it will cover all losses.

According to Binance’s statement on the X social network, it has set aside over $6.34 billion in corporate funds to address the consequences of the attack, while “another $3 billion in digital assets were frozen thanks to the collaboration of various companies in the industry,” reports the specialized website Crypto247.

The availability of these funds may delay Binance’s response to the crime. The exchange has indicated that it is making every effort to provide a satisfactory solution and confirmed it will use all necessary corporate resources.
