Spain has high levels in cyber attacks prevention

The Iberian region is ranked seventh in the world in terms of preparing for cyber attacks

A study that measures the quality of digital life determined that Spain ranks seventh in the world as one of the countries best prepared to deal with cyber attacks.

This was determined by the company Surfshark, which prepared a report on the quality of digital life at a global level in which they evaluated the response speed and the price of the Internet were evaluated, among other factors, in a total of 65 countries, in order to calculate a digital quality of life index.

Today, global Internet penetration grew up to 50% during 2018, compared to 29% registered in 2010. In addition, social media penetration also increased from 14% to 35%, while the global average daily use of the Internet is 6 hours and 42 minutes.

For the elaboration of this ranking, Surfshark took into account eight important points: mobile Internet network speed, broadband connection speed, minutes of work to achieve the most affordable broadband connection, minutes of work to get the most affordable mobile Internet network, online content availability, personal data protection laws, global cybersecurity index and e-government services.

The study also highlights the Iberian country is among the top 10 countries in the world with the highest bandwidth, presenting an average of 105.58 megabits per second (mbps).
