Zara to launch global store through Internet

The company will open its global Internet store, a new platform to buy products in 106 new markets, mainly in Africa, the Caribbean and Indonesia

Zara has physical stores in 96 markets, 49 of which have Internet stores owned by the company. With the platform, the group will sell its products in a total of 202 markets, either physically, online or in an integrated way between both modes of distribution.

The new markets are found on the African continent, in countries such as Angola, Ivory Coast, Senegal or Ghana. Also, the website opens in numerous areas of the Caribbean and Indonesia, the company said in a statement.

In this way, the group advances its goal of selling on the Internet with all its brands and in all countries, including those in which it has no physical presence. The new global Internet store is available in English and French.

In the coming months, new markets will be incorporated into the global platform, including those in which Zara has stores, in which it will develop a local sales platform. Customers will find the entire fashion collection in the new tool and will be able to place their orders in euros plus the corresponding shipping and customs fees.

Payments can be made through the usual methods such as PayPal or major credit cards and shipments will be sent from the Internet platform in Spain, to be received in a period of between three and seven days, depending on the destination.
