Walmart showed significant sales growth

Retail trade showed growth in the second quarter of this 2021, valued at 141,000 million dollars

The Walmart chain of stores presented its forecasts for the year, after having shown an excellent performance during the second quarter of 2021 in its stores in the United States.

The US retailer’s revenue showed a sales performance of its grocery business valued at 2.4% higher, representing revenue of $ 141 billion.

Doug McMillon, CEO of the company, said in a press release that this is a strong result shown in “every sector of our business.”

The results underscored Walmart’s resonance with American consumers, as Covid-19 conditions have evolved considerably compared to the same period last year, when online sales soared and American households were strengthened by payments of government stimulus.
