US blames China for “malicious cyberattacks”

A senior member of the White House indicated that in this situation they will take measures to counteract these actions

The US authorities accused China of carrying out “malicious” cyber activities and an “irresponsible” behavior, for which they have warned that they will “take measures” to counter these acts together with their allies.

“The United States and its allies have exposed the pattern of malicious cyber activity by Beijing and are taking action on it,” said a senior White House official.

In a statement, he said that the “pattern of irresponsible behavior in cyberspace is inconsistent with Beijing’s intention to be seen as a responsible leader globally.”

The Biden Administration is trying to “expose the criminal use of hackers to carry out cyber operations for their own benefit. We are aware that cyber operators affiliated with the Chinese Government have carried out ransomware operations against private companies that have included ransom demands of millions of dollars.”

This same Monday, the Twenty-seven denounced a series of “significant” cyberattacks detected from China and have called on the Chinese authorities to take a step forward to investigate and respond to these activities.
