Study affirms that mining attacks have diminished

The research conducted by Malwarebytes determined that given the loss of value in cryptocurrencies, hackers have migrated their goal to companies

An investigation conducted by the cybersecurity firm Malwarebytes, said recently that attacks on mining pools decreased in the last quarter.

According to the research, the causes of the decrease of 26% compared to previous quarters could be due to the loss of the value of bitcoin in the market, among other things.

It is important to note that in the month of October last year, the attacks against cryptocurrencies became fashionable given that by then the exponential increase in the value of bitcoin occurred.

On the other hand, the firm indicated that the attempts of hacking towards the companies has increased up to 55%, while towards individuals only grew 4%.

They also added that the most common way to carry out attacks is through Trojan viruses in view of the fact that services can be infected and violated in a simpler way.
