South Korea will keep military information with blockchain

The objective of the Asian country is to be able to share data of important value with governmental organizations in a safe way

In order to improve the reliability in the custody of information, the Administration of Defense Acquisition Programs (DAPA) of South Korea will store these elements betting on the use of blockchain technology.

The State agency seeks to share information in a secure manner, which have to do with the acquisition of military equipment between government organizations.

This new initiative will involve other governmental organizations, such as the Agency for the Development of Defense and the Defense Agency for Technology and Quality.

The DAPA also seeks to reduce the paperwork related to the application of state projects, as well as to unify the documentation.

Earlier this year, the agency launched a pilot program for the development of blockchain applications for the defense industry.
