Sony could launch a new service for PlayStation

The company is considering the possibility of creating a new Xbox-style service, with three types of fees

Sony plans to launch an all-in-one video game subscription service in the style of Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass, which will include three different tariffs whose prices will range from 10 to 16 dollars.

Spartacus is the code name for this service, which will be available on both PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PlayStation 5 (PS5) and will allow owners of the Sony console to pay a monthly fee to access its catalog of titles and other digital services.

As reported by Bloomberg a few months ago, the Japanese company plans to launch this in the coming months and will merge with it PlayStation Plus, which hosts most multiplayer games, and PlayStation Now, where older titles can be downloaded.

In order to access the first level, it will be necessary to pay $10 per month, while the subscription for the second level would be $13 and the premium would be priced at $16.

The most basic subscription would include the existing benefits of PlayStation Plus. The second would offer a wide catalog of PlayStation 4 games and, eventually, PlayStation 5.

Finally, the third level would be made up of extended versions, game streaming, trials of certain titles, and a library of classic games from the previous three PlayStation models, as well as the PSP.
