President of Iran dies in plane crash
El vicepresidente iraní, Mohsen Mansouri confirmó el fallecimiento del presidente de Irán, Ebrahim Raisi, en accidente aéreo este domingo
This Monday, the death of the president of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, was confirmed after the aircraft he was traveling in had to make a forced landing due to bad weather conditions.
The search and rescue was unsuccessful due to strong winds and thick fog that reigned in the area of the accident. According to local television, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, also died in the accident along with other people.

Search teams were able to reach the site of the accident, in the northwestern region of the country, in the territory of Jolfa, near the border with East Azerbaijan. However, according to Iranian media, there were “no signs of life”.
The leaders of different nations of the world have expressed their regret for the death of Raissi, and their condolences to the Iranian people.

New official data are expected as authorities collect data on the incident. It is important to note that according to the country’s Constitution, the vice president must assume command and the elections will be held within 50 days.
