The SoFi online loan platform will now offer a cryptocurrency purchase service.
This will be possible thanks to the partnership with the exchange Coinbase.
This project will start from the second quarter of the year. Anthony Noto, CEO of the company, said: “Our target audience wants to see what the price of cryptocurrency is, and to buy it. They have a desire to do that and in many cases they already are”.
According to CNBC, SoFi did not clearly specify which cryptocurrencies will be available to be acquired on the platform once operations start.
The platform will also help customers to see in real time the price of cryptocurrencies, in the same way as it is done in Coinbase.
