Microsoft launches anti-cyberthreat service

The company created a service called Security Experts, which will strengthen security systems and combat cyber threats

Microsoft announced the launch of Security Experts, a service for companies with which the company seeks to help them strengthen their security systems and protect themselves from cyber attacks.

Security Experts is a new category of service that combines Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology with services managed by specialized human teams to help organizations strengthen their security, as well as boost their efficiency and productivity.

According to the company in a statement, during the last year threats have grown “at an alarming rate” and it is estimated that by 2025 cybercrime will cost 10.5 billion dollars annually. This figure is much higher than the $3 billion in losses in the last decade or the $6 billion in 2021.

Microsoft believes that as the number of attacks increases, so must the hardening of organizations’ protection. That’s why Microsoft Security blocked more than 9.6 billion malware threats, as well as 35.7 billion phishing and other malicious emails.

Currently, Microsoft Security actively tracks more than 35 ransomware families and 250 malicious actors in the realm of nation-state threats, data theft, and criminal activity.
