Maduro announced the increase of the integral income to $100

In his speech of Memoria y Cuenta, President Nicolás Maduro announced an increase in the economic war bonus and the indexation of the cestaticket

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro presented himself to the National Assembly on January 15 to share the country’s economic achievements over the past year.

In his speech, he announced the increase of the monthly economic war bond to 60 dollars and the cestaticket to 40 dollars, both indexed to the exchange rate of the Central Bank of Venezuela. This adds up to a total of $100, information that will soon be made official in the Official Gazette of Venezuela.

Highlighting Venezuela’s economic growth, he said that in 2023 it exceeded 5% of the Gross Domestic Product. Maduro projects growth of 8% in 2024, positioning himself once again as a leader in the region’s economic recovery.

Proud of the results obtained despite the difficulties, Maduro noted that Venezuela’s economic growth was the highest in Latin America and the Caribbean during 2023.

As for oil activity, it reported an increase of 12.99% in the third quarter of last year. Extraction of crude oil and natural gas increased by 14.60%, while oil exports rose by an impressive 60.46%.

He highlighted that Petróleos de Venezuela reached revenues of $6.230 million. He also highlighted the momentum of alliances with international companies such as Repsol in the energy sector.

Maduro also announced strategic agreements between PDVSA and NGC of Trinidad and Tobago, in partnership with Shell, for the development of joint projects.
