Line will strengthen its token with the launch of dApps

The most emblematic messaging app in Japan revealed its plans for the launch of an ecosystem powered by its token

Line, the company with a financing of more than 10 million dollars and a newly inaugurated cryptocurrency exchange house, seeks to capitalize on its large database and incentivize its 164 million active users. For this purpose, the company will develop dApps that will work on Link’s blockchain.

The plan represents one of the biggest efforts that the company has made so far to incorporate blockchain to everyday uses. The Link token will serve to enhance a myriad of applications, such as restaurant, service payments up to online content.

The consortium announced that its purpose is to make this token and all the applications that support it the simplest to use in order to attract its users to the ecosystem of cryptoeconomics.

The company also announced that instead of selling the tokens it will deliver them as rewards to its dApps users.

Line hopes that the dApps exist on their own leafchains and that they can interact with each other. In this way, the network will be anchored to the Link and will be exchanged through smart contracts. The platform is expected to be operational by December of this year.
