To this novelty, which Apple made official during the developer event WWDC 2019, the company now adds in a support document that all the functions of iTunes, including the iTunes Store, which will be available in the three “new and more focused” applications. of macOS Catalina.
The iTunes store, which despite the disappearance of the app will continue to exist on the Mac, PC, iOS and Apple TV, will keep credits and gift cards, which can also be accessed from new applications.
The change has also brought a modification to the way they manage external devices currently from iTunes, for the synchronization of configurations and previous backups.
This function will be carried out directly from the MacOS Finder application, so “it is easier to copy and paste files that you want to transfer to the same place“, as explained by Apple.
