Indian institute develops a course on fintech and blockchain

The Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta and the TalentSpirit platform offer an advanced program in fintech and blockchain technology

The program is planned for May and is aimed at professionals in management and finance. The purpose of the project is to educate participants about financial technologies and their impact on the banking and financial ecosystem in general.

For his part, Professor Indranil Bose, director of the program said: “the majority of companies in the banking and financial sector believe that the lack of adequate talent for cutting-edge technology is an existential threat to their future.” He also underlined that the educational project aims to “equip and train 2,000 fintech professionals in the coming years.”

The program will be offered in two modalities; the first will be face-to-face at the Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta and the second will be through online sessions through the digital platform TalentSprint, where the process and offer projects to the participants will be surveyed.

Statistics in India estimate that 64% of companies intend to invest in blockchain solutions to improve their internal functioning, but only 46% of those questioned feel prepared to assume it.
