In El Hatillo there is a confluence of efforts to benefit people and tourism

Bulevar Sucre will consolidate the Town of El Hatillo as a tourist icon of Caracas

Work begins on the Bulevar Sucre in El Hatillo

From the safest municipality in Caracas, as it exhibits benign and encouraging statistics, this April 4, 2022, the Mayor’s Office and the Town of El Hatillo contributed a positive note by signing the public-private partnership agreement with the Fondo de Valores Inmobiliarios (FVI), which started Bulevar Sucre; a long-awaited work that will benefit the inhabitants and visitors of this place with enormous tourist potential, in which the municipal or local administration has the purpose of providing even more security and comfort for enjoyment.

The urban project, of four thousand six hundred square meters of construction, will connect the southern area with the northern area, where Plaza Bolívar is located.

“Today we are here to vindicate the residents and merchants of the southern side of our Town, an area that had been neglected for years and now, with the construction of Bulevar Sucre, we are going to dignify it. It is a project that has been presented to those who make life in this sector, it has been explained to them and everyone is happy and waiting for when they will be able to use it,” emphasized Elías Sayegh, Mayor of El Hatillo.

Thanks to the project that the FVI will develop – more than an ally, one more Hatillan – it will be possible to interconnect all the tourist systems of the Town of El Hatillo, that is, the cultural, recreational, religious and gastronomic areas, among others

Mayor Elías Sayegh pointed out

The works that begin in the next few days and that include the intervention of Plaza Sucre, Calle Comercio and Calle Bella Vista, among others, will bring great benefits to residents, visitors, merchants and entrepreneurs. “Bulevar Sucre comes to create, I insist, many benefits and progress for El Hatillo, since we will transform a gray area full of problems into a space for enjoyment and progress, precisely; it is an initiative that makes a win-win strategy possible for everyone”, Sayegh stressed.

This work covers the area that separates the Centro Comercial Paseo El Hatillo from Plaza Bolívar, and will have spaces full of green areas and walkways for the enjoyment of residents and visitors

The CEO of the FVI Horacio Velutini pointed out

The project described is added to other recent works by Mayor Sayegh, such as the Progreso Boulevard, which benefits all the people who transit from the Passenger Terminal, or go down from the El Calvario area to the Town. There is also the recently inaugurated Calle Bolívar Norte, which is now a wider road, and which offers greater security to passers-by when they walk through the area.

The construction of Bulevar Sucre will be carried out respecting each one of the indications made by the Board of Conservation of the Historical and Cultural Heritage of El Hatillo, which implies that it will be done with the same materials existing in the Town, in balance and harmony, without clashing

Both spokesmen explained

The architect Ana Valenzuela, from the Bastidas & Salinas architecture office, made a preliminary presentation of the project to the attendees.

Horacio Velutini, CEO of the Fondo de Valores Inmobiliarios, which runs the centro comercial Paseo El Hatillo, highlighted the great multidimensional potential of the place, recalling that the main parking lot of the Town, with 1,500 stalls and payment facilities, even without lowering the windows of the car, thanks to Pago Directo application, becomes that of the shopping center, thus decongesting the streets and improving the enjoyment experience of pedestrians. To this end, Bancamiga’s technological innovation adds value.

He also said that what is happening there, regarding life in agreements, is a good example for other places, in Venezuela a new vibe is perceived “the emotions that are experienced today are different and positive.”

The event was attended by neighbors, entrepreneurs and merchants, who took the floor briefly to greet and celebrate the start of the work.
