Hacker showed live attack to Bitcoin Private

A hacker known as Gulden attacked Bitcoin Private (BTCP) and used the live stream twitch platform to document the aggression live

The hacker named Gulden recently attempted a 51% attack on the Einsteinium cryptocurrency (EMC2) but was frustrated by members of his community. Now, the aggressor applied plan B. He attacked 51% of Bitcoin Private (BTCP) and also broadcasted it live.

Before his assault Gulden stated the following: “I am considering doing a live broadcast of all the configuration and execution of making a 51% attack against the bitcoin testnet so that people can see how it works in real life, not in theory.”

More than 750 people were watching the Gulden channel, the tool closed his account within minutes of having started the transmission. Perhaps the suspension was due to complaints from the Bitcoin community.

Subsequently, the hacker restarted the visualization through the platform stream.me. Although it was also blocked 15 minutes later. But by the time, the attacker had already achieved the most hashrate of the network; what is necessary to start the attack of 51%.

Finally, Gulden claimed to have approximately 70% of the hashpower of the BTCP network and threatened to fork, but preferred not to do anything else at the moment, to save it for future emissions.
